Jeannine McGuire
Teacher
As a lifelong learner and educator, I love teaching in all capacities! My journey began in environmental education, where I spent over 10 years creating and directing outdoor school programs, leading overnight science field trips, and connecting students to the natural world. I later transitioned into traditional classrooms, teaching upper elementary grades and substituting across all K-8 levels. When I had my own children, I discovered a new passion: homeschooling. The time I spent teaching and learning with my own kids will always be one of the best choices I made as a parent. Taking on this role is both challenging and rewarding, and I honor every parent who makes this commitment to their family. My experience as a PEARL parent showed me firsthand how creative, innovative, and flexible learning can be with the right support. Now, as a PEARL teacher, I am thrilled to be a part of this faculty—it is truly my favorite professional educational setting to date! I love talking about curriculum, tailoring learning to individual needs, and supporting our unique community. In my spare time, you can find me backpacking, traveling, gardening, making functional art, or being active outdoors. Let's work together to make learning creative and fun!
