Teacher, Assessment Coordinator for EasyCBM & RANRAS

I have been a PEARL teacher since the 2021/2022 school year! I have loved the opportunity to help families create individualized education plans for their families, while also being able to be home with mine. Before coming to PEARL, I taught in several states, including North Carolina and Washington, and also worked with teachers in Namibia when completing my Student Teaching! Most of my time has been spent in K-1 classrooms, but I have worked with many other age groups through extracurriculars and coaching.  I have a BAE in Elementary education(K-8) with an emphasis in social studies and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University.

I live in Ridgefield, Wa with my husband, our two sons, dog, and kitty! We love to adventure as a family. You can find us hiking, gardening, watching Finn play baseball, or cheering on our Portland basketball teams. Our very favorite thing to do as a family though is  exploring new places together. So far as a family we have travelled to Germany, Belgium, England, Scotland, British Columbia, and are working on crossing off National Parks here in the US! We are hoping to add to our list soon! We love experiencing different cultures and getting to show our boys the world. I also LOVE to read and have a special spot in my heart for horses.

Coming to work for PEARL was especially special for me, as I grew up in Quilcene, and graduated from Quilcene HS, Go Rangers! Beginning to work for PEARL was in a way, me coming back to my roots, and I love getting to work alongside some of the amazing educators I had in my past!
