Jodi Kieffer

Principal

This year marks my 26th year in education. I have been a certified K–8 teacher since 1999, with endorsements in special education, early childhood education, and reading from Saint Martin’s University. In 2008, I earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from City University of Seattle, and in 2014, I completed my Principal Certification.

My professional experience spans public, private, alternative, and homeschool settings, both in teaching and administration. I have served as a PEARL teacher for fourteen years and as principal for the past twelve years. In addition, I continue to teach part-time at PEARL. Having also been a PEARL parent, I bring both perspectives to my work and deeply value the dedication and commitment of our families.

Outside of school, I am proud to be the mother of four children—Bailey, Juan, Noah, and Nathan—and the grandmother of three: Jeremiah, Nylah, and Malikai. I grew up in Quilcene, where I continue to reside, and enjoy spending time with my family and friends, many of whom live nearby. My interests include sports, camping, traveling, reading, and photography.

I am especially passionate about alternative learning and supporting students with dyslexia, an area of personal commitment since my own son’s diagnosis in fifth grade. I truly value the opportunity to serve the PEARL community and remain dedicated to fostering student growth, family engagement, and a strong learning environment.
